Democratic Socialists Repeat Trump Talking Points in Opposing Russian War

'There is no solution through war or further intervention... '

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) A Democratic Socialist group has put Democrats on edge as it suggested that America withdraw from the North Atlantic Treaty Organization in response to the Russia-Ukraine conflict, DNYUZ reported.

As warhawk Republicans and Democrats alike prepare for another adventure in international intrigue at the expense of the American people, Trump supporters and the Democratic Socialist Association (DSA) have formed an unlikely pair.

The Socialist group released a statement suggesting that America withdraw from the corrupt and degenerate NATO.

“DSA reaffirms our call for the US to withdraw from NATO and to end the imperialist expansionism that set the stage for this conflict,” they wrote, before adding that nations across the world should take in any refugees.

“We call on antiwar activists in the US and across the world to oppose violent escalations, demand a lasting diplomatic solution, and stress the crucial need to accept any and all refugees resulting from this crisis.”

They also suggested a removal of all sanctions.

“There is no solution through war or further intervention,” they wrote.

“This crisis requires an immediate international antiwar response demanding de-escalation, international cooperation, and opposition to unilateral coercive measures, militarization, and other forms of economic and military brinkmanship that will only exacerbate the human toll of this conflict.”

Of course, former President Donald Trump has taken something like this stance from the beginning. Trump’s platform in both his 2016 and 2020 campaign relied upon the withdrawal of America from international organizations.

The former president remarked last week upon how he kept Moscow mob boss Vladimir Putin at bay, and how Biden’s weakness has damaged America’s position.

“But here’s a guy (Putin) that says … ‘I’m gonna declare a big portion of Ukraine independent … and we’re gonna go out and we’re gonna go in and we’re gonna help keep peace.’ You gotta say that’s pretty savvy. And you know what the response was from Biden? There was no response … it’s very sad,” he said.
