Dark-Money Leftists Plot to Disbar 111 Trump Lawyers for Challenging Election

'This move is nothing more than a desperate attempt by leftist hacks and mercenaries... '

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) A dark-money group called The 65 Project is working to harass and disbar lawyers who worked on former President Trump’s post-election lawsuits, seeking to punish anyone who had the temerity to stand up for election integrity during the highly controversial 2020 presidential tilt.

Named after the 65 lawsuits filed to overturn the 2020 election results, the Democrat-linked 65 Project has filed 10 ethics complaints and will be continuously airing advertisements in purple states to discredit Trump and his lawyers, according to The Hill.

Claiming to be a “bipartisan effort to protect democracy,” the group insists that judges appointed by both parties found Trump’s election-fraud filings had issues.

“But success in the courtroom was not the only objective,” the website reads. “Instead, the lawyers bringing these claims knew they were a key component of a larger effort to discredit the 2020 presidential election—and all future elections in which their preferred candidate lost.”

The group is poised to spend millions of dollars targeting 111 attorneys in 26 states.

States targeted for slanderous advertising against these lawyers and Trump include Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. Ironically, in many of those same states evidence of election fraud and dubious practices are now being uncovered.

Members of the 65 Project’s board include big Democrat and R.I.N.O names: former Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle, D-S.D., former George W. Bush administration official Paul Rosenzweig; former American Bar Association president Roberta Ramo, and more.

David Brock, founder of several far-left organizations such as Media Matters for America, is an adviser for the group.

Their intentions “are not only [to] bring the grievances in the bar complaints, but shame them and make them toxic in their communities and in their firms,” said Brock.

Despite the flagrant and open aggression, lawyers being targeted have reacted coolly.

Paul Davis, one of the attorneys being targeted, said “this move is nothing more than a desperate attempt by leftist hacks and mercenaries,” in an official statement.

Donald Trump has not made a public statement regarding this most recent attack.
