Colorado’s ‘Moderate’ LGBT Gov. Polis Enacts 1st ‘Transgender Tourism’ Law

'We see you and in Colorado, we’ve got your back...'

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) Colorado Gov. Jared Polis, a gay Democrat, announced that his state would open its doors for teenage “transgender tourism” in the coming months, the Daily Mail reported.

The bill that the supposedly-moderate governor signed into law will protect healthcare industry participants who administer “gender-affirming care” to out-of-state patients, including teenagers seeking hormone therapy.

According to the governor, Colorado will protect liberty by allowing teens to mutilate themselves and using state coercion to perform abortions.

“Here in Colorado, we value individual freedoms, and we stand up to protect them,” Polis said.

“I’m excited by the work of advocates and legislators to further Colorado’s reputation as a beacon of freedom, a beacon of choice, a beacon of individuality where we live our own lives on our own terms in a Colorado for all,” he added.

Democratic state Sen. Julie Gonzales expressed her support for those seeking hormone therapy.

“We see you and in Colorado, we’ve got your back,” she said.

State House Minority Leader Mike Lynch, a Republican, said that the laws will make Colorado attract “the vulnerable, the indigent and frightened minors from all over the country.”

The news comes in the wake of Polis signing into law a trio of health care bills enshrining access to sex-changes, protecting abortion, and restricting pregnancy centers.

One of those laws will force businesses in his state pay for their employees to get abortions.

Yet the news should come as no surprise. Polis has signed into law numerous radical bills during his tenure as governor.

In April of 2022, for example, he “codified into law” the “right” to get an abortion until the moment of birth.

“In the State of Colorado, the serious decision to start or end a pregnancy with medical assistance will remain between a person, their doctor, and their faith,” he said at the time.
