Ex-Clinton, -Obama Advisers Have Knives Out for Biden

'When Biden as president can’t get more than 25% of the primary vote in his own party, that’s near death. He’s so incredibly vulnerable...'

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) In the midst of President Joe Biden’s classified document scandal, an effort to smear his recent actions in office from ex-Democrat officials appears to be on the rise.

In the last two days, two big-name officials from past administrations publicly came forward to malign Biden’s performance on several fronts.

Former Clinton adviser Dick Morris claimed that any chance of Biden’s reelection in 2024 has vanished after extensive searches of his personal home and offices revealed more classified documents from his days as vice president and, prior to 2009, as a U.S. senator.

According to the Daily Wire, Morris addressed a recent poll that indicates only a quarter of Biden’s party is behind him for the 2024 election.

“When Biden as president can’t get more than 25% of the primary vote in his own party, that’s near death. He’s so incredibly vulnerable,” Morris said. “You’d think he’d be at 40% or 50% at the least. That means pretty much anybody that breathes on him can knock him over.”

Morris also pointed to the investigations into the documents implicated Biden’s son, Hunter, which uncovered his access to the classified information while living at their Delaware home. Congressional investigations into the younger Biden’s infamous laptop revealed shady business dealings in China and Ukraine.

Morris—a one-time Fox News fixture and frequent Clinton critic—has been wrong before. He notably predicted a Mitt Romney blowout in the 2012 election, which was so egregiously off base that he wound up exiting the network.

However, he is not alone in asserting that the 80-year-old Biden is damaged goods.

A second official—Robert Gates, who acted as secretary of defense during the Obama administration—slammed Biden for his handling of the classified information and took a swipe at his handling of the Russia–Ukraine conflict during an appearance Sunday on Meet the Press.

“A lot of this could’ve been done sooner,” Gates told host Chuck Todd while discussing Biden’s new plan to send U.S. military tanks into the conflict zone.

“And, you know, they’re talking about it potentially being six months, a year, or more before the Abrams tanks get there,” he continued. “I think the key thing about the Abrams tank decision was that it unlocked Germans being able to provide.”

Biden himself said previously that sending American tanks to the Ukrainian battlefront would be akin to a declaration of war.

Gates also accused the Biden administration of being “careless,” particularly in the handling of classified documentation.

The former secretary had beef with Biden over the way he has run all of this foreign policy operations, and previously stated that the president was “wrong on nearly every major foreign policy and national security issue over the last four decades.”
