Charlie Crist: I Will ‘Do Everything in My Power’ to Help Women Kill Their Babies

'I believe in a woman’s right to choose. And I’ve proven it every time I’ve had the opportunity in political office...’

(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) Rep. Charlie Crist, D-Fla., the gubernatorial challenger of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, promised to do everything in his power to allow women to keep killing the babies in their wombs, if he wins the Nov. 8 race, according to Breitbart.

Crist, who previously served as a Republican governor, flip-flopped parties and has since failed to gain political traction as an independent or Democrat.

Some have speculated that he is actively trying to lose his current race against the widely popular DeSantis given his bold—albeit tone-deaf—decision to tell DeSantis supporters that he did not want their votes. He also has offered high praise for unpopular president Joe Biden and invited the president of the Miami–Dade teachers union to be his running mate in a year when parental outrage over school indoctrination promises to be a top issue.

On Tuesday, Crist published an ad on Twitter that included a quote from the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, in which she said that “The decision whether or not to bear a child is central to a woman’s life, to her well-being and dignity. It is a decision she must make for herself.”

The narrator in the ad also urged voters to “take back control of our future, raise our voices and say no to the attacks on our reproductive freedoms by Ron DeSantis,’” Breitbart reported.

The ad criticized DeSantis’s goal to protect babies from being killed in the womb.

“The ultimate goal’s a total ban, no exceptions,” it said. “We can choose a better way where we are empowered.”

In another tweet, Crist promised his voters that he would sign an executive order on the first day as governor that would allow women to murder their children under the guise of “reproductive freedom.”

According to another Breitbart article, Crist expressed his pride when he talked about vetoing a pro-life bill during his previous tenure as a Republican governor of Florida.

“I believe in a woman’s right to choose. And I’ve proven it every time I’ve had the opportunity in political office,” Crist said.

“I’m very proud of that fact,” he continued. “And then almost six years now as a member of Congress and I have a 100% rating by Planned Parenthood, 100% rating by name.”

DeSantis has a different point of view.

“These are unborn babies that have a heartbeat,” said the governor.

“They can feel pain. They can suck their thumb,” he continued. “And to say that the state constitution mandates things like dismemberment abortions—I just don’t think that’s the proper interpretation.”
