Buttegieg Slammed for Using Taxpayer-Funded Private Jets

'This is stuff that we see from the elites... '

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) A recent report revealed that climate activist and Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg has been using private jets funded by taxpayers to travel while pushing massive cuts in carbon emissions.

Buttigieg was slammed for his hypocrisy on Fox News show Outnumbered, the Post Millennial reported.

“Shouldn’t anyone who espouses that hyper-moralism in terms of environmentalism, shouldn’t they be the ones who have to live the most stringent lives in terms of keeping themselves from enjoying luxuries like private plane travel,” FOX Business host Kennedy asked the panel.

Buttigieg has taken at least 18 flights on private jets in the two years since he’s taken office.

Rob Smith, president of the Douglass Society, believes that Buttigieg’s hopes to participate in the 2024 presidential race are taking priority over his climate activism as the flights have been to key states such as Florida, Ohio and New Hampshire.

“This is stuff that we see from the elites. You saw it with Nancy Pelosi’s blowout during the lockdown, as we saw with Gavin Newsom’s policies, like a $50,000 dinner,” Smith explained.

“But when it comes to Buttigieg, you have to be clear and understand one thing: Buttigieg wants nothing more than to be America’s first gay president.”

Morgan Ortagus, who acted as a Trump-era spokesperson for the State Department, claimed that the U.S. Department of Transportation Office of Inspector General should initiate an investigation into Buttigieg’s contradictory ways.

“It is raising red flags that he’s going to early primary states,” she said, arguing that there’s no reason for an investigation to not take place when the House GOP takes over the majority.

Tucker Carlson also closely surveyed the work Buttigieg has done since he took up office.

This is not the first time Buttigieg constantly postures for climate change advocates, usually by pretending to bike to work and campaign events.

In addition to getting ripped on TV, Buttigieg has also been roasted for his hypocrisy on Twitter.
