(Chris Parker, Headline USA) If you’ve ever been perplexed about some of the decisions made by the Biden administration, you’re not alone; a growing number of experts believe his policies are more beneficial for China than the US.
Dr. Michael Pillsbury, the Hudson Institute’s Chinese Strategy Director and former Trump adviser, believes Beijing has “made gains under President Biden,” reported Just the News.
The Wall Street Journal also reported that “in many ways China has benefitted from the conflict, as Russia tests the international system with disappointing results for the West.”
Meanwhile, food shortages and historic inflation continue to plague Americans. Even Biden’s own economists blame his policies for the rising costs of food and fuel in the U.S., Biden and the Democrats have been working tirelessly to deflect the blame to business owners.
Pillsbury also accused Biden of back-stepping.
“Biden acted as though he would be tough on China, but now he seems to believe he can get away with just having the rhetoric on China,” he said.
“What it shows you is that Biden is picking up on the American people’s deep concern about China, but when you take a look under the hood, and you see what the Biden administration has actually done… it’s nowhere close to the rhetoric,” said Thomas Binion, with the Heritage Foundation, who accused Biden of putting on a show for China.
Attorney General Eric Schmitt, who led Missouri in becoming the first state to sue the Chinese government over pandemic losses, heavily criticized the Biden administration for ending the China Initiative, according to Fox News.
“The world is a dangerous place and liberty is not preserved with pandering and political correctness,” he wrote in a letter to U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland.
Trump started China Initiative the program in 2018 to bolster protections against Chinese spying, hacking, and intellectual theft. Biden ended the program after facing heavy criticism from far-left activists. Schmitt also criticized Biden for ending it during Russia’s conflict with Ukraine.
When it comes to foreign policy issues, Robert Gates, who served as Obama’s defense secretary, said that Biden “has been wrong on nearly every major foreign policy and national security issue over the past four decades.”
