(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) President Joe Biden has announced his intention to deport illegal immigrants from Venezuela, merely a week after extending temporary protected status to eligible immigrants.
This decision comes as the southern border grapples with an overwhelming influx of illegal aliens, with approximately 50,000 Venezuelans apprehended in September alone. Over 200,000 arrests were made at the border in that same month, according to the New York Times on Thursday.
The border crisis has escalated, with countless viral videos capturing individuals entering the U.S. without restraint, sparking criticism even from within Biden’s own party.
The Department of Homeland Security issued a statement in response to the mounting criticism. “Today’s announcement makes clear that we are committed to strictly enforcing immigration laws and quickly removing individuals who do not avail themselves of these orderly processes and choose to cross our border unlawfully,” the Biden agency claimed.
This announcement also coincides with Biden’s embarrassing reversal regarding the completion of Trump’s border wall. The border wall, the administration claimed, would block incoming illegal aliens from crossing the border.
Historically, Venezuelans fleeing what they described as unlivable conditions in the South American country have enjoyed special status in the United States. However, a recent uncontrolled influx of individuals, including treacherous journeys through the Darien Jungle, has led to growing discontent among U.S. citizens.
An infamous video depicting Venezuelan immigrants unashamedly waving their national flag was widely criticized as a blatantly invasion.

Why would a “refugee” fleeing their home country PLANT its flag on the shore of another?

In New York City, Mayor Eric Adams, a Democrat, formally requested a state court to abolish the “Right to Shelter” law, which has been exploited by many illegal aliens. Even former President Bill Clinton rebuked what he perceived as an unsustainable shelter system. “It’s broken. We need to fix it… It doesn’t make any sense,” he said during a radio interview with John Catsimatidis.

N.Y. Gov. Kathy Hochul, D., echoed these sentiments in a CBS News interview, calling for an immediate halt to the entry of asylum seekers. “We want them to have a limit on who can come across the border. It is too open right now,” Hochul stated in an interview with Margaret Brennan.
“People coming from all over the world are finding their way through simply saying they need asylum and the majority of them seem to be ending up in the streets of New York and that is a problem for New York City,” she continued.

Adding fuel to the debate, a damning report by the Center for Immigration Studies alleges that many Venezuelan migrants are committing federal fraud by falsely claiming they need protection. Some of these migrants have resided in relatively secure countries in Latin America, the May report alleged.
