(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) Mollie Hemingway, a Fox News contributor and editor-in-chief of The Federalist, called President Joe Biden’s speech on gun legislation an “impeachable offense” while reacting Thursday on Jesse Watters Primetime.
As Watters and other panelists debated the finer points of what should and should not be included in a pending legislative package under bipartisan negotiation in the Senate, Hemingway pointing out the disingenuousness and false framing of the overall discussion, Breitbart reported.
“He showed this was, for him, a partisan political approach,” Hemingway said.
“‘Do Something’ is not a serious policy, but the actual policies that he listed are extremely troubling,” she continued. “I think it’s comforting for simple-minded people to think that restricting the natural right to keep and bear arms would solve all of our problems, that destroying the Constitution would solve our problems.”
Hemingway went on to elaborate on why the Second Amendment of the US Constitution is important.
“[W]e have a Natural Right of self-defense to guard against tyranny in the Second Amendment,” she explained.
“This is something that makes us American,” she continued. “And Joe Biden showed that he does not respect the Constitution. He does not support this Natural Right. That really is an impeachable offense to talk this way against something so foundational to the country.”
Hemingway also explained why this was such a clumsy move on Biden’s part.
“[I]t was also just really divisive and unhelpful for him. And I think, you know, he helped people see what really is at play here,” she said.
“… This is a really extreme agenda,” she added. “And he is misguided if he thinks this is going to be a political winner for him. I know they are desperate. But this is not going to sell well in this country.”
Other conservative critics echoed Hemingway’s calls for impeachment.

Meanwhile, some of Biden’s fellow denizens on the extreme Left went even farther to double-down on their support of tyranny over gun rights.
“You will not stop us from advancing the Protecting Our Kids Act today,” said Rep. Mondaire Jones, D-NY, whose home district recently added gun crimes to the list of offenses eligible for bail, despite a notable spike in gun violence.
“You will not stop us from passing it in the House next week, and you will not stop us there,” Jones said, according to the Washington Examiner. “If the filibuster obstructs us, we will abolish it. If the Supreme Court objects, we will expand it.”
Jones—a gay, black man—is facing a contentious primary debate against influential Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney, who is also gay and chairs the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.
That has forced the freshman “Squad” affiliate to tack even harder to the extreme than he otherwise would have.
Biden is likewise in a panic about his own party’s prospects in the midterms, largely due to his leadership failures and extreme agenda.
He specifically invoked partisanship in his speech, using a pair of recent mass-shooting tragedies to urge people to put asside the catastrophic economic and foreign policies that have brought them to the verge of ruin, the Guardian reported.
“I believe the majority of you will act to turn your outrage into making this issue central to your vote,” Biden said in his call for radical gun control. “Enough, enough, enough!”
