SNL’s Pretend Trump, Alec Baldwin, Mocked over Wife’s Fake Spanish Heritage

''Yes, I am a white girl...'

It’s said that life often imitates art and truth can stranger than fiction.

Now, an actor famous for yukking it up with his Donald Trump imitation is being mocked in real life (or the Twittersphere, at least) over the fake heritage of his spouse—who happens to have been named “Hillary.”

Saturday Night Live comedian Alec Baldwin and his wife—who now goes by “Hilaria”—were forced to acknowledge that she is not, in fact, from Mallorca, Spain.

However, her official biography on multiple websites claims otherwise—including the Wikipedia entry that appeared, at press time, in Google searches of her name.

After her appropriation of Spanish culture was exposed on social media, the US-born Hilaria quickly pivoted to claiming she was the victim.

“I’m being attacked for being who I am,” she complained in an Instagram post.

” … Yes, I am a white girl,” she continued. “Europe has a lot of white people in there. My family is white. Ethnically, I am a mix of many many many things. Culturally, I grew up with two cultures. So it’s really as simple as that.”

Hilaria’s name began trending on Twitter after users observed several inconsistencies in her accent.

One online poster noted her “commitment to her decade long grift,” even giving exotic-sounding names to the couple’s five children together: Carmen Gabriela, Romeo Alejandro David, Leonardo Ángel Charles, Rafael Thomas and Eduardo Pau Lucas.

Hilaria said she was raised bilingual, splitting time between Spain and her hometown of Boston, Massachusetts.

We celebrate both cultures in our home,” she insisted, adding that her parents and a sibling currently reside in Spain.

Nonetheless, many continued to raise questions over her apparent struggles with her native tongue.

For example, one video posted online showed her unnecessarily rolling her “r’s.”

And another showed her struggling during a segment on a cooking show, to find the correct English word for “cucumber.”

Alec Baldwin used his own social media to attack his wife’s detractors—while acknowledging that he, too, has had his share of online meltdowns.

“We live in a world now where we’re hidden behind the anonymity of social media. People feel that they can say anything. … They probably would like to do anything if they weren’t at risk of getting caught and going to prison,” he ranted in the 8-minute diatribe.

“… [T]hey want to just shoot it all over you and spray it all over you, their venom and their hate,” continued Baldwin, who was sentenced to attend anger management classes in 2019 following a “road rage” incident over a parking space.

No stranger to her father’s unhinged wrath, Ireland Baldwin—Alec’s 25-year-old daughter with ex-wife Kim Basinger also came to the defense of her step-mom.

“I know what it’s like to have a really awful piece of s–t woman in your place trying to be my stepmom,” said Ireland in a comment on Hilaria’s post.

“… I find it really sad that people have the time that they do to play detective and make up a lot of lies and fabricate a lot of truths to fit a story,” she continued. “I’m sorry that people are giving you such a hard time during a time that is already so f–king difficult for everyone in this world coping with the realities of Covid and being without family over the holidays and even losing family during the holidays due to this madness…”

Adding to the many layers of irony in the Hilaria scandal is the fact that Alec Baldwin’s portrayal of Trump on “SNL” has often characterized the president as uncouth and unsophisticated.

Nonetheless, two of Trump’s three wives—including First Lady Melania Trump—have been authentic European women.

That hasn’t stopped vicious Hollywood liberals from mocking Melania for her heritage.
