AOC, Omar Worked With Soros-Funded Dark-Money Group to Stage Fake Arrest

Soros-backed group asked Democrats to 'submit themselves for arrest in front of the Supreme Court...'

(Headline USA) Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y.; Ilhan Omar, D-Minn.; and 15 other Democrat lawmakers who were arrested outside the Supreme Court this week during a pro-abortion protest coordinated the stunt with a leftist dark-money group funded by billionaire George Soros.

Ocasio-Cortez admitted that she and the other Democrats worked with the Center for Popular Democracy Action Fund to plan the protest, and said that getting “arrested” was the entire point. The leftist group even asked her and her colleagues to “submit themselves for arrest in front of the Supreme Court,” she said.

Omar’s spokesman, Jeremy Slevin, also announced that Omar would be “arrested” before the protest even began:

The Center for Popular Democracy received more than $1 million from Soros’s Open Society Foundations last year, according to the group’s co-executive director Andrew Friedman.

This could explain why Ocasio–Cortez and Omar pretended to be handcuffed while being escorted away from the protest by U.S. Capitol Police Officers.

Videos of the event show Ocasio–Cortez and Omar with their hands behind their backs even though they had not been handcuffed.

Ocasio–Cortez, however, insisted that her fake arrest was not a publicity stunt.

“Putting your hands behind your back is a best practice when under arrest, whether you are handcuffed or not,” she claimed.

Police officials later refuted the claim, clarifying that it is best to keep one’s hands in plain sight when being arrested.
