WATCH: Onlookers in Deep-Blue Massachusetts Give ‘Bronx Salute’ to Brandon

'Go home! Back to Washington!'

(Tony Sifert, Headline USA) Protestors in Somerset, Massachusetts, greeted President Joe Biden with chants of “Let’s go Brandon!” as the deeply unpopular Democrat passed through town, according to a report from Breitbart News.

“Go home! Back to Washington!” one disgruntled citizen shouted as the motorcade drove by.

Others flipped Bident the bird in a county that, while not as far to the left as nearby Boston, backed him over former President Donald Trump by a full 12 percentage points in the 2020 election.

The shocking display of discontent from the state that launched the political careers of the Kennedys, Michael Dukakis, John Kerry and Elizabeth Warren aligns with recent Republican polling data, which suggest that several blue states may be at play in the upcoming midterm election.

Rep. Tom Emmer, R-Minn., the chair of the National Republican Congressional Committee, recently told Breitbart that even states where Biden boasted double-digit leads are now fair play.

“Historically, the president’s party typically loses 27 seats in the midterms,” Emmer said. When the president’s approval rating actually goes below 50%—and Joe Biden’s, depending on what you’re looking at, his approval is down in the low to mid-30s—when it’s below 50%, that number jumps on average up to 37 seats.”

Sleepy Joe was in Somerset to deliver a speech on the “climate crisis” at the Brayton Point Power Station.

Describing climate change a “clear and present danger,” Biden claimed that extreme weather conditions have caused upward of $145 billion in damage throughout the United States in the last year.

“Climate change is literally an existential threat to our nation and to the world,” Biden said, as he touted a new slate of executive actions certain to exacerbate the country’s energy crisis.

First among those actions is $2.3 billion for FEMA’s Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities program, which is supposed to be used to “help communities increase resilience to heat waves, drought, wildfires, flood, hurricanes.”

Biden would also open up the Gulf of Mexico, Florida’s Gulf Coast, and the southern Atlantic (in other words, still not John Kerry’s precious Cape Cod) coast for “offshore wind opportunities.”

In an article on Biden’s speech, the New York Post detailed the carbon footprint of Biden’s trip to Massachusetts.

“Biden made the trip aboard greenhouse-gas-spewing Air Force One … Biden’s transportation for a short speech included the flight to Warwick, Rhode Island, followed by a gas-guzzling motorcade 25 miles to Brayton Point Power Station in Somerset, Mass., before a return trip to DC,” the Post reported.
