Anti-Lockdown Protesters Plan ‘Million Maskless March’ in Fla.

'The mask burning is in full cooperation with local law enforcement and will be done in a safe and controlled manner...'

Protesters who oppose face mask mandates are organizing a massive rally in Florida where people will be encouraged to burn their masks.

The event, dubbed the ‘Million Maskless March and Mask Burning,’ is set to take place on April 10 at 3 p.m. in Fort Lauderdale, protest organizer Chris Nelson announced.

The organizers chose April 10 to commemorate “one year of mask tyranny in Broward County, and we will mark that date with a celebration of freedom,” Nelson said.

Nelso said the protest has been approved by authorities and encouraged people to bring signs that say “MASKS ARE SLAVERY!”, “NO MORE MASKS,” and “MASKS OFF CHILDREN.”

“The mask burning is in full cooperation with local law enforcement and will be done in a safe and controlled manner. Following the mask burning we will March north on A1A, make a sharp left at Seabreeze and march back to where we began. The event will be over by 5pm,” he wrote.

“April is a very busy time for Ft Lauderdale Beach and this is exactly why this location was chosen,” Nelson added. “Our goal is for people to see us and be inspired to join in!”

The organizers said they want the event to be bipartisan to show government officials that all Americans oppose continued coronavirus restrictions.

Florida has become a top destination for Americans looking to avoid coronavirus restrictions.

Gov. Ron DeSantis was quick to roll back lockdown measures as soon as he could, including the state’s face mask mandate.

“The lockdowns failed to stop the virus but did a great deal of societal damage along the way — damage that a more targeted approach, seeking to reduce total harms, would have been able to avoid (and did, in places like Sweden and Florida),” DeSantis said, adding that the “policy makers who buked the elites & challenged the narrative have been proven right to do so.”
