Another Venue Cancels Event Featuring Kyle Rittenhouse

'It’s really disappointing to see that places continue to censor me and not allow my voice and many other voices to be heard because they bend to the woke crowd...'

(Headline USA) Another venue canceled an event featuring Kyle Rittenhouse this week, citing the conservative activist’s political views.

Just a few days after a Texas brewery canceled an anti-censorship rally that Rittenhouse was supposed to speak at this month, the Venetian casino in Las Vegas announced it was also canceling a “private reception” with Rittenhouse that was set to be held at the Oak Room, a whiskey and tequila bar inside the casino’s Grand Canal Shoppes.

In a statement, the Grand Canal Shoppes said the decision was the bar’s but gave no indication as to whether it exerted any pressure in the matter—while hinting that it did not approve.

“Our tenant informed us that they have canceled the event,” the statement read. “We do not speak on behalf of our tenants, but want to emphasize this event did not align with our property’s core event guidelines.”

The event was being sponsored by a number of gun rights groups, including Axil and GunRights.org, according to a flyer shared by Rittenhouse.

Over the weekend, Southern Star Brewing Company similarly canceled an event featuring Rittenhouse.

“Southern star brewery is an apolitical organization. But we feel that this event doesn’t reflect our own values and we could not in good faith continue to rent our space for the event on 1/26. We don’t do rallies, we make beer for people who like beer,” the brewery said.

Rittenhouse slammed the brewery for bending to the “woke crowd,” and said he was dismayed by the decision.

“It’s really disappointing to see that places continue to censor me and not allow my voice and many other voices to be heard because they bend to the woke crowd,” he wrote on Twitter. “I’ll keep you guys updated on the event on the 26th that I was supposed to speak at.”

As of Tuesday, he had secured another location for the anti-censorship rally in Texas: the Lone Star Convention Center.

Rittenhouse became a conservative activist, known for being outspoken in defense of gun rights, after he was acquitted in 2021 of killing two rioters in self-defense.
