Leftist actress and activist Alyssa Milano tried to persuade “anti-maskers” to wear face coverings this week, claiming masks offer more protection than AR-15s.
Anti-maskers are the same people who think they need an AR-15 for “protection”.
LOUDER FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK: A MASK WILL PROTECT YOU *MORE* THAN AN AR-15 WILL.

It is not clear how masks and guns are related or why Milano felt the need to compare them, as several critics pointed out.
Those tools are for very different kinds of threats. I own both AR-15s and KN-95s. I don’t see any conflict in that whatsoever.

Poor @Alyssa_Milano.
She doesn’t comprehend freedom.
She spews her Hollywood communist elitism & feels the need to constantly try to steal American’s constitutional rights.
The same rights people bled & died to give us.
She did nothing for us but wants to throw it all away. https://t.co/T6V6QzRXH8

It’s better to have a gun and not need it than to need a gun and not have it. https://t.co/5hVeYBgDV2

Milano made a similarly nonsensical argument in April when she claimed the public could stop the spread of the coronavirus by preventing the sales of guns.
“Stop the coronavirus gun surge,” she said, adding that the only way to keep people “safe” is by “social distancing and washing our hands and not bringing dangerous firearms into our homes.”
Americans bought over 2 million firearms in March of 2020, over a million more than this time last year. We have to keep each other safe by social distancing and washing our hands and not bringing dangerous firearms into our homes. #StopTheCoronavirusGunSurge #NoRA pic.twitter.com/O5J98QXTFO
