(Ben Sellers, Headline USA) While Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., was preparing to lead a delegation to Israel over the weekend, thousands of protesters gathered outside his home in Brooklyn to convey their displeasure with America’s support its longstanding Middle Eastern ally, which has determined following an unprecedented terrorist attack that it can no longer peacefully coexist with Hamas.

The protesters reportedly included many far-left Jews who demanded that the U.S. help broker a cease-fire. Some purported to be rabbis and descendants of Holocaust survivors, according to one Twitter post.
They even carried a banner saying “Jews Say Stop the Genocide of Palestinians.” The rabble disrupted Schumer as he sat down for his Shabbat supper before departing for the trip, reported Fox News.
In total, 57 protesters were arrested outside the Schumers’ home—despite the fact that at least two members of the New York state assembly were among the participants.
It was unclear whether Schumer had any direct role in seeking the arrests, but critics saw in the entire situation another clear-cut example of the two-tiered justice system at work given Schumer’s previous insistence that it was entirely acceptable for mostly peaceful—and even occasionally disruptive—protest to occur outside the private residences of public servants, even if the law expressly forbade it, the Western Journal reported.

In May 2022, Schumer shrugged off the protests taking place outside the homes of U.S. Supreme Court justices following the decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.
“If protests are peaceful, yes,” he told The Hill.
“My house—there’s protests three, four times a week outside my house,” he claimed. “The American way to peacefully protest is OK.”
Schumer not only seemed unconcerned with the fact that far-left activists were attempting to influence the judiciary through intimidation—something that violated U.S. code—but he even appeared to encourage it.
In a March 2020 speech, he specifically called out conservative justices Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh during a press conference on the steps of the U.S. Capitol, warning them, “You have released the whirlwind and you will pay the price. You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions.”

Kavanaugh subsequently was doxxed by the domestic terrorism group Ruth Sent Us and became the target of an assassination attempt by 20-something transgender radical Nicholas Roske, who had traveled all the way from California after plotting to kill three judges.
Of course, after arriving in Israel, Schumer and his bipartisan delegation of senators were forced to confront the very real threat that the New York protesters were advocating on behalf of after they came under a Hamas rocket attack in Tel Aviv on Sunday.
Schumer posted a photo via Twitter of himself and retiring RINO Sen. Mitt Romney, R-Utah, in a bunker.
“It shows you what Israelis have to go through,” he wrote. “We must provide Israel with the support required to defend itself.”
