Anti-Cop Activists Push Civil Lawsuit against Rittenhouse, Despite Acquittal

'This civil lawsuit isn't an attack on me, it's an attack on ALL Americans' rights to self defense... '

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) Despite the acquittal of Kyle Rittenhouse, defund the police activists are pushing a civil lawsuit against him.

“I am being sued after being acquitted,” Rittenhouse wrote on Twitter.

“This civil lawsuit isn’t an attack on me, it’s an attack on ALL Americans’ rights to self defense. I’m raising $$ for this lawsuit, each and every donation no matter how big or small helps.”

Despite being found not guilty by a jury, Rittenhouse has now been lumped into another lawsuit filed in the Eastern District of Wisconsin against numerous Wisconsin police departments at the city and county levels, the Washington Examiner reported.

Included as defendants are Kenosha County Sheriff David Beth, former City of Kenosha Police Chief Daniel Miskinis, acting Police Chief Eric Larsen and various unnamed officers and deputies.

Backing the plaintiff, John Huber, is a big-money leftist law firm that specializes in civil rights cases and police misconduct lawfare.

Most see the civil suit as an attempt to punish Rittenhouse further since a jury found him not guilty last year. Further, the suit will serve as yet another attack on the Second Amendment and one’s ability to defend oneself in moments of crisis.

In response to the civil allegations filed by the Hubers, Rittenhouse has raised over $40,000 to pay for his legal expenses.

“Kyle Rittenhouse was found NOT GUILTY by a jury of his peers,” the fundraiser site reads.

Rittenhouse has filed numerous lawsuits of his own, fighting back against the Left’s perpetual attempt to slander his name and remove him from public life.

According to reports from earlier this year, he hired a defamation lawyer and said he plans to file “at least 10” defamation lawsuits against prominent figures and companies.

“I’ve been hired to head the effort to determine whom to sue, when to sue, where to sue,” Todd McMurtry, Rittenhouse’s representative said. “We’re going to look at everything that’s been said, determine which of those comments are legally actionable and proceed from there.”
