(Dmytro “Henry” Aleksandrov, Headline USA) Donald Trump ripped into President Joe Biden on Thursday for releasing a notorious arms dealer in a prisoner exchange for pot-smoking WNBA baller Brittney Griner, blasting the move as a “stupid and unpatriotic embarrassment.”
Trump posted on Truth Social that releasing Viktor Bout, who he called “one of the biggest arms dealers anywhere in the world,” was a big mistake, made especially grievous because of Griner’s spite towards the United States, the country that gave her the opportunities to become successful and rich.
“What kind of a deal is it to swap Brittney Griner, a basketball player who openly hates our Country, for the man known as ‘The Merchant of Death,’ who is one of the biggest arms dealers anywhere in the World, and responsible for tens of thousands of deaths and horrific injuries,” Trump wrote.
Trump also questioned Biden’s decision to work only on the release of Griner, but not Paul Whelan, who was arrested in Russia in 2018 and sentenced to 16 years in prison for alleged “espionage,” according to Breitbart. Whelan, a former Marine, denies the charges and Russia doesn’t seem to have evidence to back up its accusations.
“Why wasn’t former Marine Paul Whelan included in this totally one-sided transaction?” Trump wrote. “He would have been let out for the asking.”
“What a ‘stupid’ and unpatriotic embarrassment for the USA!!!” Trump added.
After Biden announced the swap, Whelan shared his surprise and frustration about the situation with CNN.
“I am greatly disappointed that more has not been done to secure my release, especially as the four-year anniversary of my arrest is coming up. I was arrested for a crime that never occurred,” he said. “I don’t understand why I’m still sitting here.”

The Daily Wire reported why the leftist White House decided to bring back only a black, lesbian, America-hating druggie baller, as explained by White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.
Griner “represents the best of America,” the insurrectionist mouthpiece proclaimed. “Brittney is more than an athlete, more than an Olympian, she is an important role model and inspiration to millions of Americans, particularly the LGBTQI+ Americans and women of color.”
In February, “an important role model” was arrested at an airport in Moscow, Russia, for possessing cannabis vape cartridges in her suitcase.
