Hollywood Doubles Down on ‘Woke,’ Raises Stake w/ New ‘Wakanda’ Release

'Prior to the 2016 release of Black Panther, every Marvel movie had ...'a white man as a protagonist.

(Ezekiel Loseke, Headline USA) The mainstream media and Hollywood have formed a cabal to promote the woke film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

The first Black Panther film was a watershed of wokeness, according to Axios.

Prior to the 2016 release of Black Panther, every Marvel movie had a white man as a protagonist. However, after said film 11 of 16 Marvel movies have had either a woman or a non-white man as the protagonist.

Hollywood is counting on Black Panther: Wakanda Forever to be a blockbuster. “Box office analysts and theater operators are expecting Black and Hispanic moviegoers to flock to cinemas this weekend,” wrote CNBC.

The numbers are 34% below pre-pandemic numbers in 2019, according to CNN Business.

Hollywood has been hurting because it has failed to produce a “big, splashy box office title for quite some time,” according to Yahoo!.

The woke corporation Disney is also desperate for a win, according to CNN. Disney’s stock is down 42% for the year, and on Wednesday it lost another 13% of its value after it reported that Disney Plus lost $1.4 billion last quarter.

A blockbuster showing by Wakanda Forever will not produce a rise in Disney’s stock, but it could produce momentum.

Paul Dergarabedian, a senior media analysis, told CNN that a blockbuster showing could spark a “chain of movie-going to carry forward to the end of the year and into 2023.”

The success or failure of the film is bad news for conservatives.

On the one hand, if it succeeds then it will inspire more wokeness.

On the other hand, if it fails then American moviegoers will be blamed for their supposed racism.

The perpetual failure of woke movies has produced a notable pattern of behavior, the failed films will blame Americans for their supposed bigotry. One need only to look at the failure of the homosexual romantic comedy Bros and how its failure was blamed on homophobia.

There’s no winning with Hollyweird.
