(Ezekiel Loseke, Headline USA) Kyrie Irving, star of the NBA’s Brooklynn Nets, was confronted about a social media post that featured Alex Jones.
ESPN reporter Nick Friedell initiated the confrontation with Irving by making woke accusations. He asked “why did you decide to promote something that Alex Jones said?” according to a video posted to Twitter.
Irving explained that he did not support all of Alex Jones’s arguments, or his Sandy hook stance. He argued the post was about an argument Alex Jones made in the 1990’s about secret societies, “and it’s true.” He continued to explain he was not “campaigning” or advocating for Alex Jones.
Friedell then said, “and to follow up on the promotion of the movie, or the book,” when Irving cut him off, saying “can you please stop calling it a promotion? What am I promoting?”
Friedell insisted that by posting the argument to Twitter Kyrie was promoting Alex Jones.
The woke reporter then insisted that Irving’s post was “filled with anti-semitic stuff,” despite lacking any evidence to support such an assertion.
Irving responded, “I’m free to post whatever I want.” He then said to “shut it down,” and asked for the next question.
The Nets star then asserted he was done with the conversation, as Friedell would simply use this clip to leach off of Irving’s platform and fame on Instagram.
Irving insisted that “We’re in 2022. History is not supposed to be hidden from anybody.”
The NBA star said that, “I’m not a divisive person when it comes to religion.” Irving clarified that he “embrace[s] all walks of life.”
Breitbart News reported that the woke corporation that employs Irving is not siding with him. Joe Tsia, owner of the Brooklyn Nets, reported being “disappointed” in Irving.
