(Mark Pellin, Headline USA) With the Biden regime sitting on a reported massive stockpile of COVID vaccines as the virus ebbs in intensity and contagion rates, an influential committee of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention unanimously voted Thursday to add most COVID-19 vaccines offered in the U.S. to the childhood, adolescent and adult immunization schedules.
The CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices recommended updates to the 2023 childhood and adult immunization schedules, which includes shots that many school districts require for students.
Count COVID jabs on the fast track to join that list. While the committee’s vote isn’t final, its recommendations are virtually guaranteed to be adopted. Biden administration officials were quick to downplay Thursday’s decision, noting that “CDC only makes recommendations for use of vaccines, while school-entry vaccination requirements are determined by state or local jurisdictions.”
The committee’s decree received immediate backlash, with many leading experts voicing questions and concerns about why the recommendation was made for a vaccine that hasn’t been fully vetted and licensed.
“Your children will not be able to attend school without taking the COVID shot,” said Fox News host Tucker Carlson, referring to states that adopt the guidance. “The problem is, there is no medical basis for this decision, whatsoever.”
Dr. Marty Makary, a professor at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, agreed.
“There’s certainly no clinical data,” Makary said. “They’ve got data from eight mice on the omicron vaccine in young people.
“Right now we got Pharma saying, ‘Hey, we did a study. We’re going to give you the top line of the press release. We’re going to call the White House.'” Makary said.
“And the White House then calls the FDA and the CDC and tells them to get in line. They bought 170 million doses of this new omicron vaccine.”
When doctors not buying the CDC talking points ask to see the data, they’re told “to stop asking questions,” said Makary, who called the CDC’s immunization committee “a kangaroo court.”
“You have to be an official, card-carrying vaccine fanatic to be on the committee.”

Even though the committee’s recommendation, and the CDC’s eventual dictums, aren’t strictly mandates, they often have the same desired effect.
“This doesn’t represent new recommendations. This represents sort of a summary of existing recommendations,” advisory panel member Matthew Daley told Politico.
“But I will acknowledge … there is symbolism in adding Covid-19 to the childhood immunization schedule, and that symbolism is that we view this as routine and that we view this as Covid is here to stay.”
