(Headline USA) First Lady Jill Biden said Tuesday that she and President Joe Biden have not discussed him running for the White House again in 2024, but said she hopes he will seek a second term.
“Not yet — we’ve been a little bit too busy,” she told NBC when asked if they’ve made a decision.
“Not yet, but I’m sure it’ll be a discussion,” she added.
Taco Doc Jill noted that the presidency is “taxing,” but claimed Joe Biden has been very good at it.
“Look at all Joe has done,” she said. “He has kept true to what he said he would do, and so I think he just needs to keep going.”

The White House has insisted that Biden plans to run again in 2024 despite concerns about his age and health, as well as comments from Democrat leaders who seem less than thrilled about the idea of another Biden campaign.
Vice President Kamala Harris said she would “proudly” run again with Biden if that’s what he chooses to do.
“The president has been very clear that he intends to run again,” Harris told NBC News. “And if he does, I will be running with him proudly.”
Most other Democrats have refused to take a position on whether they’d support Biden again. But a few have said flat-out that they won’t support him.
“I would say we need new leaders in Washington up and down the ballot in the Democratic Party,” Rep. Angie Craig, D-Minn., said.
Rep. Dean Phillips, D-Minn., agreed with Craig when asked if Biden should run again: “I have respect for Joe Biden.”
“I think he has, despite some mistakes and missteps, despite his age, I think he’s a man of decency, of good principle, of compassion, of empathy, and of strength. But to answer your question directly, which I know is quite rare, no, I don’t,” he said.
“I think the country would be well-served by a new generation of compelling, well-prepared, dynamic Democrats who step up.”
