FBI Agent Who Slow-Walked Hunter Biden Investigation Escorted From FBI HQ

'Thibault allegedly ordered the matter closed without providing a valid reason as required by FBI guidelines... '

(Headline USA) A top FBI agent overseeing the agency’s investigation into Hunter Biden has reportedly stepped down following a whistleblower report that FBI leadership deliberately labeled evidence of Hunter Biden’s alleged wrongdoing as “Russian disinformation.”

Timothy Thibault, an FBI assistant special agent, was reportedly forced out after he was accused of slow-walking the agency’s investigation into Hunter Biden for political reasons, according to the Washington Times. He was escorted out of the field office by at least two “headquarters-looking types,” sources said.

Thibault had already been on leave for a month after Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, revealed that he and other FBI leaders were accused of obstructing the agency’s investigation into Hunter Biden. Thibault even tried to shut down an avenue of investigation into potential criminality by Hunter Biden one month before the 2020 election, according to a whistleblower report obtained by Grassley.

“Thibault allegedly ordered the matter closed without providing a valid reason as required by FBI guidelines … [and] subsequently attempted to improperly mark the matter in FBI systems so that it could not be opened in the future,” Grassley wrote.

Thibault’s social media confirmed his anti-Republican bias. On Twitter, for example, he shared a tweet from the Lincoln Project calling former President Donald Trump a “psychologically broken, embittered and deeply unhappy man.”

The news of Thibualt’s exit from the FBI also follows a revelation from Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, who said the FBI warned Facebook of potential “Russian misinformation” right before the New York Post published its bombshell report on Hunter Biden’s laptop. The tip led Facebook to crack down on the circulation of the Post’s report, Zuckerberg admitted.

“Basically, the background here is the FBI, I think, basically came to us — some folks on our team — and was like, ‘Hey, just so you know, like, you should be on high alert,’” Zuckerberg told podcaster Joe Rogan.
