Impeachment Fan Murkowski, Trump-Backed Tshibaka & Sarah Palin Notch Wins in Alaska

'This is Alaska’s voice, not D.C. insiders... '

(Mark Pellin, Headline USA) Alaska’s wild west, ranked-voting shootout produced mixed results Tuesday, with two MAGA strong candidates and a heavyweight RINO advancing in the state’s GOP primary.

Trump-backed Kelly Tshibaka and impeachment-embracing incumbent Sen. Lisa Murkowski were projected as two top vote-getters in the GOP Senate race, where under the ranked-system the top four candidates advance to the general election. The remaining two slots were still undecided early Wednesday morning.

“No matter how much special interest groups try to impact this election, it will always come down to Alaskans,” Tshibaka said earlier this year when polling showed her leading the race.

“This is Alaska’s voice, not D.C. insiders. Let’s keep up the momentum!”

On another primary ballot, former Alaskan governor and vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin advanced to the general election for the state’s sole U.S House seat. Palin will be joined on November’s ballot by Republican Nick Begich and Democrat Mary Peltola. The last slot for a place under the ranked system had not be determined by early Wednesday morning.

The general election showdown between Murkowski, who Trump has repeatedly referred to as the “disaster from Alaska” and Tshibaka, who Trump endorsed as “a fighter who stands for Alaska values and America First,” carries national implications.

“This is expected to be a very heated race, arguably the most important in the nation in the battle between Uniparty Swamp RINOs and America First patriots,” wrote Liberty Daily’s J.D. Rucker.

“At stake is whether or not possible Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell will maintain one of his puppets or if an actual conservative will spoil it for him.”
