(Tony Sifert, Headline USA) Robert Crimo, the alleged killer of seven people during a July 4 parade in the affluent Chicago suburb of Highland Park was wearing women’s clothes during the massacre, according to a report in Newsweek.
Lake County Major Crime Task Force spokesman Christopher Covelli speculated during a press conference that Crimo intended to use the disguise to help him escape from police in the aftermath of the mass shooting.
“During the attack, Crimo was dressed in women’s clothing and investigators do believe he did this to conceal his facial tattoos and his identity and help him during the escape,” Covelli said.
I think Robert Crimo is a psycho. Planned it all out to look like he’s both a Trump supporter and a Biden supporter. Perhaps a true accelerationist. He’s got everyone squabbling over his politics but at the end of the day he killed innocents and represents no one but himself.

Fox News has reported that Crimo has already confessed to the murders and has said that he dressed in women’s clothing to hide his identity.
Covelli also told reporters that Crimo planned another massacre in Madison, Wisconsin, where he drove after the shootings in Highland Park, but at the last minute went home instead.
Crimo’s father, who ran for mayor of Highland Park in 2018, told ABC that he was shocked by his son’s alleged crimes and that he had been raised with “good morals.”
“This has taken us by complete surprise,” he said. “Whatever was going on in his head at the time, to go kill and hurt innocent people is just senseless.”
But Crimo’s former coach told Fox News that his parents had been “kind of a problem” in the past, and suggested that they neglected their son.
“I remember the parents more than him because they were kind of a problem,” the coach said. “There wasn’t a lot of love in that family.”
And the Washington Post reported that Crimo’s father sponsored his application for a gun permit, even after family members claimed he had threatened to kill everyone.
