(Headline USA) A Democrat witness testifying before the House Judiciary Committee this week claimed that men can get pregnant, give birth and have an abortion, and endorsed allowing women to abort their unborn children up until the moment of birth.
Aimee Arrambide, the executive director of a pro-choice organization called Avow Texas, was asked by Rep. Dan Bishop, R-N.C., on Wednesday to define what “a woman is” and whether people besides women can get pregnant.
“I believe that everyone can identify for themselves,” she replied.
“Do you believe that men can become pregnant and have abortions,” Bishop continued.
“Yes,” Arrambide said.
During another exchange, Arrambide was asked by Rep. Mike Johnson, R-La., about late-term abortions and whether she believed they should be available to women.
“I trust people to make decisions about their body,” she said. “And when relevant, I think they need to consult with their medical practitioners and not Congress.”
Johnson continued: “If it is not morally or lawfully acceptable to take the life of a 10-year-old child, and a 2-year-old child, then what is the principle distinction between the human being that is 2-years-old, or 9-months-old, or 1-week-old, or one-hour-old, than one that is eight-inches further up the birth canal in utero?”
“I trust people to determine what to do with their bodies. Full stop,” Arrambide said.
