Emails Show Fusion GPS Actively Colluded w/ Leftist Media on Russia Hoax

'And they appear to have done so as part of a (largely successful) effort to trigger negative news stories about one the Presidential candidate... '

(Mark Pellin, Headline USA) Leftist and establishment media outlets were heavily invested and working in collaboration with the Hillary Clinton presidential campaign in actively pushing the Russia hoax narrative, according to emails released as part of special prosecutor John Durham’s investigation.

The emails were part of a records request in Durham’s case against Democrat lawyer Michael Sussmann, who has been indicted on charges of lying to the FBI about his role with the Clinton campaign in what the special prosecutor has called a “joint venture or conspiracy” to purposefully perpetuate a false Russia collusion story to harm Donald Trump’s presidential prospects and the start of his presidency.

One of the exhibits Durham had requested was to be filed under seal “due to personally-identifiable information contained within the referenced emails,” reported the Washington Examiner. Some of the attachment files, however, were accidentally left unsealed.

The documents were related to Sussmann’s claims of attorney-client privilege relating to his work with the Clinton campaign.

In response to that effort, Durham filed a motion in which he claimed possession of “hundreds of emails in which Fusion GPS employees shared raw, unverified, and uncorroborated information – including their own draft research and work product – with reporters,” according to TechnoFog.

“And they appear to have done so as part of a (largely successful) effort to trigger negative news stories about one the Presidential candidate,” Durham wrote.

The emails make clear that research firm Fusion GPS, working on behalf of the Clinton campaign through Sussmann and a vipers nest at the Perkins Coie law firm, including Democrat lawfare elections-fixer Marc Elias, actively collaborated with myriad media outlets to manufacture and push allegations about Trump having ties to Russia.

* Emails with Slate’s Franklin Foer from May 14, 2016 in which Fusion GPS conveys information on a Trump advisor and Alfa Bank.

* July 26, 2016 e-mails from Fusion GPS to the Wall Street Journal communicating allegations from Christopher Steele stating “a Trump advisor meeting with a former KGB official close to Putin … would be huge news.

* July 29 and July 31, 2016 emails with a reporter (Washington Post’s Tom Hamburger) concerning [former Trump campaign advisor] Carter Page’s investments and meetings with Russians – of which the reporter said “Its bullshit.”

In another email, a Slate reporter wrote to Fusion GPS co-founder Peter Fritsch asking for a review of a story about an alleged KGB connection being hustled as part of the Russia collusion narrative.

“I handed in a draft of the piece–here’s a copy. It’s not at all edited, so forgive all the rawness. I have no idea what my editor will say,” the reporter wrote.

“But can you guys scan it for omissions and errors? And obviously keep it to yourselves. (Also promise me that you won’t use it as a prod to he competition, whoever they are now.)

The Fusion GPS founder replied, “your editor should say it’s great. jake and i will read more closely and make some suggestions.”

The pattern of emails all show a sycophant media dutifully swallowing and regurgitating the bogus information being peddled by Fusion GPS, and then clamoring for more.

The Clinton Cabal delivered, repeatedly, to alleged reporters from the New York Times, ABC, Yahoo News, CBS, NBC, Reuters and a veritable A-list of other reliably leftist news outlets.
