(Tony Sifert, Headline USA) Democrats are losing sleep over President Donald Trump’s political stamina, according to a report in Axios.
The “nightmare scenario” involves a nothing-left-to-lose Donald Trump in the White House with a filibuster-proof majority in Congress come January 2025.
According to Axios, Leftists are “sounding the alarm” over the potential loss of several Senate seats in 2024, with the likes of Sens. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va.; Bob Casey, D-Pa.; and Kyrsten Sinema, D-Ariz., up for re-election in what is shaping up to be another bad cycle for Democrats.
Axios also warned that Democrat operatives have been seeing “expanding defections by Hispanic voters to the GOP,” with a recent Wall Street Journal poll suggesting that a 9-point majority of Hispanics would prefer to see a Republican than a Democrat in Congress.
Democrat talking points about diversity don’t appeal to moderate Hispanic politicians—like Andrea Salinas in Oregon—who are being pushed out in favor of candidates who appeal “white progressives,” Axios reported.
“Aiming for 51-52% of the vote under the current coalitional pattern won’t cut it,” wrote data analyst Simon Bazelon. “Democrats need to wake up, because right now they’re sleepwalking into disaster, with no plan to avert it.”
Bazelon also predicted that “if Joe Biden receives 51% of the vote in 2024 . . . he will likely lose the Electoral College — and with it, the presidency.”
To make matters worse, Fox News reported recently that Trump “remains a fundraising juggernaut.”
Trump fundraising organizations brought in $19 million in the first quarter of 2022 and “a massive $124 million in cash on hand in their coffers.”
“President Donald J. Trump’s political organizations are positioned to carry his America First message into battleground races across the nation,” Taylor Budowich, communications director for the former president and the Save America PAC, told Fox News.
