Philadelphia Reinstates Mask Mandate

'The liberal bastion that is Philadelphia just reminded us that covid will never be truly gone as long as the specter of harvested mail-in balloting is around... '

(Tony Sifert, Headline USA) Following Dr. Anthony Fauci‘s scare-mongering lead, the City of Philadelphia has raised its COVID-19 response level and re-instituted its mask mandate, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

“Alone among major U.S. cities, Philadelphia soon will again require masks indoors at all restaurants, shops, offices, and other indoor public spaces again next week,” the Inquirer reported. “Businesses can opt to require proof of vaccination instead of requiring masks.”

According to the city’s website, the COVID-19 response level has been raised to “Level 2: Mask Precautions,” which means that “people in Philadelphia will be required to wear masks indoors in public places beginning Monday, April 18.”

The city reported an increase of 142 new cases per day and claimed that cases had increased “more than 50% in the previous 10 days.”

Level 2 of the city’s “benchmark system,” established in February, is reached when “cases have increased by more than 50% in the previous 10 days.”

“If we fail to act now, knowing that every previous wave of infections has been followed by a wave of hospitalizations and a wave of deaths, it’ll be too late for many of our residents, Health Commissioner Cheryl Bettigole said during a Monday briefing.

“This is our chance to get ahead of the pandemic, to put our masks on until we have more information on the severity of this variant,” she continued.

“Here we go again,” said ZeroHedge. “The liberal bastion that is Philadelphia just reminded us that covid will never be truly gone as long as the specter of harvested mail-in balloting is around.”

The World Health Organization has recently attempted to drum up interest in the new XE model of the virus, which is alleged to be “as much as 10 percent more transmissible than the second Omicron strain.”
