(Joshua Paladino, Headline USA) President Joe Biden on Sunday exploited the tragedy in California by calling for more background checks on firearm transfers, as well as bans on already illegal “ghost guns” and “assault weapons.”
Biden demanded that Congress “act” on gun-control legislation after at least two shooters killed six people and shot 12 others in downtown Sacramento, a city with among strictest state and local gun control laws in the United States, reported the Gateway Pundit.
“Ban ghost guns. Require background checks for all gun sales,” Biden said in a statement. “Ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines. Repeal gun manufacturers’ immunity from liability.”
Biden touted his administration’s efforts to reduce gun violence.
“That is why my Administration has taken historic executive action to implement my comprehensive gun crime reduction strategy — from standing up gun trafficking strike forces to helping cities across the country expand community violence interventions and hire more police officers for community policing,” he said.
Police Chief Kathy Lester said that authorities have not arrested or located the shooters, but they recovered one stolen handgun that may have been used in the shooting.
A video has circulated on Twitter that shows a brawl outside a bar on the 1000 block of K Street.

Descriptions of the incident allege that the shooter used “automatic gunfire,” though numerous commenters dispute this claim.

Anyone who has ever heart actual automatic gunfire knows this was NOT automatic gunfire. At best it was a semi-automatic. Some can even fire a revolver that fast. But since there were at least 7 shots, revolver seems unlikely

Biden claimed that Congress can “save lives” with “crime prevention and intervention strategies,” but he did not address the recent developments that have caused crime to spike to 20-year highs: an anti-cop terrorist movement under the names Antifa and Black Lives Matter and an open border that allows drugs and gang violence to flow into America.
