(Tony Sifert, Headline USA) China has bought up hundreds of thousands of acres of land in Oklahoma in order to illegally grow and sell marijuana, according to a report by David Ware at the MAGA Institute.
The Chinese Communist Party has arranged for the purchase of at least 300,000 acres of “valuable agricultural land in Oklahoma” that are “the source of much illegal marijuana throughout the United States and even beyond,” according to Ware.
Ware also claimed that Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt is either “not aware of it” or supports his “big industry cronies” and their interest in the illegal trade.
In February, the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics seized $500 million worth of marijuana in coordinated raids throughout the state, according to KFOR.
An official told KFOR that the bureau has focused its efforts on groups that come from outside of Oklahoma.
“Something the Bureau of Narcotics has undertaken for the past year now is focusing on groups that have come to Oklahoma, have tried to take advantage of Oklahoma’a medical marijuana program by blending in,” said Mark Woodward.
Woodward later confirmed that many of the raided facilities had ties to China.
“We still have outstanding warrants for seven more individuals and we will do our best to track them down,” he told KFOR. “Many of these groups had ties back to Asia, specifically China.”
Woodward has also suggested that China is behind the massive increase in fentanyl overdose deaths.
He told KOKH that “the OBN believes most of the fentanyl coming into the United States comes from China or across the border from cartels in Mexico,” a view that has been confirmed by the United States Drug Enforcement Administration.
A March 2022 report issued by the Brookings Institution showed that China “remains the principal (if indirect) source of U.S. fentanyl” and that “most smuggling now takes place via Mexico.”
“Mexican criminal groups source fentanyl precursors — and increasingly pre-precursors — from China, and then traffic finished fentanyl from Mexico to the United States,” the report said.
