(Headline USA) “The Daily Show” deleted a tweet mocking President Joe Biden during his State of the Union address on Tuesday, after facing backlash from leftist viewers.
The late night show, hosted by leftist Trevor Noah, shared an image of a dead battery on its Twitter account during Biden’s speech, and said, “Biden rn.”

The tweet immediately sparked criticism from leftists who were upset that a liberal show would criticize a Democrat president.

Most other liberal talking-heads spent the evening fawning over Biden. CNN’s Jake Tapper argued Biden’s speech was “very solid,” and CNN’s Van Jones declared, “Uncle Joe is back.” “Late Show” host Stephen Colbert similarly claimed Biden’s speech was a “rollercoaster ride of rip-roaring reasonableness.”
Biden used the State of the Union to try and salvage his public image after a catastrophic first year in office. He vowed to “fund the police,” advocated for a “secure” southern border, and argued the U.S. should invest in our own industries rather than outsourcing them.
The actual policies Biden has implemented, however, reveal Biden hopes to move the country much farther to the Left than he let on during his speech.
Illegal immigration reached an all-time high last year, with more than 2 million migrants having been stopped at the southern border while trying to cross it illegally. Gas prices continue to rise because Biden cut off much of the U.S.’s own energy production. And crime has skyrocketed in almost every single one of the U.S.’s major cities.
