(Gregg Pupecki, Headline USA) In an unprecedented move, Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson has decided to auction off all towed trucks from the Freedom Convoy and equitably distribute the funds to city departments and organizations.
“We actually have the ability to confiscate those vehicles and sell them,” Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson said, according to Canadian state media CBC.
“And I want to see them sold,” he said. “I don’t want the return to these people who’ve been causing such frustration and angst in our community.”

The funds from the sale will reportedly go to offset lost revenue after officials scared many businesses to remain closed during the protest. Many Canadians are celebrating the idea of recouping millions of lost revenue by dissolving the assets of hard-working, independent truckers.
Perfect, the assets of criminals should be seized. This happens with organized crime, gangs, drug dealers, vehicles used in the commission of a crime, and so on.

The mayor said this is all possible because of the Emergencies Act.
“That’s one of the reasons why, under the Emergencies Act, that I’ve asked our solicitor and our city manager, how can we keep the trucks, and the campers, and the vans and everything else we’ve confiscated, and sell those pieces of equipment to help recoup some of the costs that our taxpayers are absorbing,” the Ottawa mayor said.
He praised Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s strong-arm measures against his own citizens by saying, “That’s one of the provisions of the Emergency Act and we have been a beneficiary of the Emergency Act.”
If the auctions take place, some pro-freedom Canadians said they are willing to buy the trucks and return them to the truckers. However, under martial law no one really can say what acts will be deemed illegal and prosecuted by the government.
Cool. We will all show up at auction together. And make Damn sure the original owners get their stuff back for 1$.
