(Joshua Paladino, Headline USA) Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón admitted on Sunday that he may have sought a harsher sentence for a transgender child rapist if he had known about the perpetrator’s callous indifference toward the victim, the National Review reported.
“While for most people several years of jail time is adequate, it may not be for Ms. Tubbs,” he said. “After her sentencing in our case, I became aware of extremely troubling statements she made about her case, the resolution of it and the young girl that she harmed.”
Gascón, a George Soros-funded prosecutor, sentenced 26-year-old Hannah Tubbs—a biological male, formerly named James—to two years in a juvenile corrections facility for raping a 10-year-old girl.
Tubbs raped the girl in 2014, when he was 17 years, and Gascón refused to prosecute him as an adult due to a self-imposed policy not to prosecute minors as adults.
In addition to the light sentence—surrounded by young, vulnerable females like his victim—Tubbs boasted in a phone call to his father, released by Fox News, that he would not have to register as a sex offender.

“I lucked out because it’s not an adult case, it’s a juvenile case or else I would be looking at life,” Tubbs said.
“So what are they going to do to you then?” his father asked.
“Nothing!” Tubbs responded.
Tubbs then gloated about the sexual assault and made “explicit remarks about the victim that are unfit to print.”
Fox News refused to release the entire clip, with reporter Bill Melugin citing “extremely crude, disparaging sexual comments about the 10-year-old victim, openly discussing the sexual attraction for her and laughing about her.”
The now-18-year-old victim spoke about Tubbs’s crime for the first time.
“The things he did to me and made me do that day was beyond horrible for a 10-year-old girl to have to go through,” she said. “I want him tried as an adult for the crimes he committed against me.”
“I’ve also heard that my attacker goes by she/them pronouns now,” she said. “I see it also unfair to try him as a woman as well, seeing how he clearly didn’t act like one on January 1st of 2014.”
