(Joshua Paladino, Headline USA) Canadian dictator Justin Trudeau is seeking to extend his new powers indefinitely after the country’s Parliament approved his invocation of the Emergencies Act by a vote of 185-151.

Trudeau argued before the vote that the Canadian government had to suspend the rule of law to remove the Freedom Convoy protesters from Ottawa, the nation’s capital.
He now claims the emergency powers should remain permanently, in order to prevent future protests from forming.
“This state of emergency is not over. There continue to be real concerns about the coming days,” Trudeau said Monday, according to Breitbart.
“People out there indicating that they are ready to blockade, to continue their illegal occupations to disrupt Canadians’ lives,” he continued. “We feel that this measure needs to remain in place.”
Canadians are still peacefully protesting COVID-19 vaccine mandates in other territories, including Quebec.
Meanwhile, Albertan Premier Jason Kenney has filed a lawsuit to prevent martial law from continuing in perpetuity.
Kenney said the Emergencies Act lets the Canadian government declare martial law only when an insurrection or coup has brought the state near destruction, Hannity.com reported.
“The situation in Ottawa is serious. Law and order has to be restored,” he said. “But the Emergencies Act was designed to come into effect at the failure of the state. However, there is no insurrection or coup.”

Kenney agreed with that assessment.
“Police services already have all the powers they need through provincial authority,” he said. “All the tools already exist.”
Trudeau did not invoke the Emergencies Act to end the protests but to secure dictatorial powers to detain people, freeze bank accounts, and confiscate property without due process.
Kenney said the financial provisions in the Emergencies Act were “designed to interrupt terrorism financing,” not target Canadian citizens.
