Rittenhouse Announces Defamation Suits, Including Whoopi Goldberg

'She called me a murderer after I was acquitted by a jury of my peers... '

(John RansomHeadline USA) Kyle Rittenhouse, the teen who was acquitted of murder after shooting three men, two of whom died, during a Black Lives Matter riot in Kenosha, Wisconsin, said he plans several lawsuits to hold “our media accountable in court for their malicious and defamatory lies,” against him according to his Twitter account.

The jury in the case found Rittenhouse acted in self-defense.

Rittenhouse used a montage of images from the media which called him everything from a “domestic terrorist” to a “white supremacist” in making the announcement that media accountability is coming.

When asked about who he will charge with defamation in the lawsuits, Rittenhouse mentioned two media figures.

Whoopi Goldberg is on the list. She called me a murderer after I was acquitted by a jury of my peers,” Rittenhouse said, according to Newsweek.

“She went on to still say that,” Rittenhouse said. “And there’s others, don’t forget about Cenk [Uygur] from the Young Turks. He called me a murderer before verdict and continues to call me a murderer.”

In addition, Rittenhouse said he plans to sue people who called him a “white supremacist,” as Fox News host Tucker Carlson noted an interview that, “It makes it pretty hard to get a job for the rest of your life if you are a white supremacist.”

The list of defendants quite possibly could include President Joe Biden, who called Rittenhouse a “white supremacist” on Twitter, blasting then-President Donald Trump for not disavowing Rittenhouse during a debate.

“There’s no other way to put it,” Biden tweeted in September 2020 about Rittenhouse, according to the Daily Mail.

“The President of the United States refused to disavow white supremacists on the debate stage last night,” Biden lied, while Rittenhouse’s attorney blasted Biden’s comments as an unprecedented interference in an ongoing trial.

Rittenhouse also plans on starting an ongoing group that will address lies in the media in addition to funding the lawsuits.

The trial “exposed deep corruption in our media for all to see” said a Rittenhouse fundraising solicitation, according to Newsweek.

“Help hold the worst offenders in our media accountable in court for their malicious and defamatory lies,” the solicitation added.
