(Mark Pellin, Headline USA) A new report from Real Clear Politics shows the GOP reaching its best polling in a generic ballot average since 2010, topping 47 percent of respondents favoring Republicans.
That’s a near total reversal from last June, when Democrats hit 48 percent approval in the RCP generic ballot average. And it’s a polling benchmark that Republicans haven’t reached in more than a decade, back in 2010 when the Tea Party and a red wave swept the country as GOP approval hit 47 percent.
“And if all of that’s not frightening enough for Democrats, note that the 2020 generic ballot polling badly underestimated Republican support on Election Day,” reported Hot Air, with pollsters whiffing on the true level of support for Trump and conservatives.
“If nonresponse bias is still at work in today’s data, the true level of GOP support on the generic ballot may be in uncharted territory,” Hot Air noted.
At the same time, President Joe Biden’s polling plummet continues its steep decline.
“Nearly 6 in 10 Americans disapprove of how Joe Biden is handling his presidency, with most of that group saying there’s literally nothing Biden has done since taking office that they approve of,” according to CNN’s most recent poll.
“When those who disapproved of Biden’s overall performance were asked to name a single thing he’d done that they did approved of, 56% had nothing positive to say,” CNN reported.
”I’m hard pressed to think of a single thing he has done that benefits the country,” wrote one survey respondent.
The polling data doom for Democrats helps explain why alt-left, deep-blue politicians who preached COVID compliance to their mandates and restrictions, swearing it was all about following the science and had nothing to do with power grabs or authoritarian egos, have quickly pivoted on their penchant for oppressive lockdowns, overreaching mask mandates and elitist vaccine passports.
The dissembling, deception and feral gaslighting that leftists and authoritarians have used since the inception of the pandemic has come crashing down on the fraudsters and tyrants who perpetuated the subterfuge, as they slither for cover, trying to save their own reptilian skin.
The “science” hasn’t changed, but public sentiment has, with a pro-liberty, anti-mandate movement steamrolling across America as steadily as the Freedom Convoy has barreled across Canada.
The only “science” that has changed is the Machiavellian political kind, and it has Democrats in panic mode.
