Romney Tried to Intervene in RNC’s Censure of Traitorous RINOs

'They chose to join Nancy Pelosi in a Democrat-led persecution of ordinary citizens who engaged in legitimate political discourse that had nothing to do with violence at the Capitol... '

(Joshua Paladino, Headline USA) Sen. Mitt Romney, R-Utah., tried to pressure his niece, RNC Chairwoman Ronna Romney McDaniel, into opposing the party’s censure of Reps. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., and Adam Kinzinger, R-Ill., MediaRightNews reported.

Romney said he texted McDaniel after the Republican Party approved the censure, and, though neither person has disclosed the conversation’s content, it is clear from his Twitter posts that Romney expressed distaste for the decision.

Romney refused to condemn McDaniel for participating in the censure, calling her a “terrific” and “wonderful person” who is “doing her very best.”

After disclosing his text conversation with McDaniel, he reiterated the the party’s resolution “could not have been a more inappropriate message.”

“One, to sanction two people of character as they did,” Romney continued. “But number two, to suggest that a violent attack on the seat of democracy is legitimate political discourse is so far from accurate as to shock and make people wonder what we’re thinking.”

Sen. Bill Cassidy, R-La., sided with Romney, Cheney, and Kinzinger, as he pretended that the House’s January 6th Committee cares about determinig what caused the protest to turn into a riot.

“The RNC is censuring Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger because they are trying to find out what happened on January 6th – HUH?” Cassidy asked.

The RNC’s censure has to do with the January 6th Committee’s use of its investigate power to harass citizens and violate their civil liberties, not with a justification of the J6 protest.

“They chose to join Nancy Pelosi in a Democrat-led persecution of ordinary citizens who engaged in legitimate political discourse that had nothing to do with violence at the Capitol,” the censure stated.
