Judge Attempts, Fails to Ban Honking in Ottawa for 10 Days

(Jacob Bruns, Headline USA) A Karen judge in Ottawa, Canada attempted to banish trucks from honking their horns throughout the province for 10 days in the wake of the Canadian Freedom Convoy, InfoWars reported.

The 10-day injunction was issued by Superior Court Justice Hugh McLean to prevent the Freedom Convoy truckers from honking their horns in downtown Ottawa.

Canadian truckers created a convoy last week to protest their government’s tyrannical vaccine mandates.

According to McLean, Ottawa residents have a right to “quiet, if we can use that term.”

Though McLean wrote that “people have a right to protest various things in various ways,” he claimed that the incessant noise could cause long-term and irreparable hearing damage.He also noted that the protest didn’t meet his standards of sophistication.

“Tooting a horn is not an expression of any great thought,” McLean noted, though he left room for the “potential artistic merit” of the truckers’ creative use of patterns. McLean’s injunction immediately took effect, but as expected, it was roundly ignored.

He also claimed that, because the truckers’ protest has made headline news, there is no need to continue.

“The only purpose of this (horn blowing) is to bring attention to this protest,” McLean said. “There’s no need for that anymore. The public is fully aware of what’s going on.”

The Post Millennial reported on the truckers’ ignoring of the petty injunction.

After a judge ruled that honking is now illegal in Ottawa, the truckers responded by honking.

A Canadian government official also threw a tantrum because of the protest and the honking.
