(Mark Pellin, Headline USA) In a move that will likely light leftist hearts afire, Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer has decided to retire from the bench, according to multiple sources, paving the way for President Joe Biden to appoint a successor every bit as liberal and leftist to fill the vacancy.
At 83, Breyer is the court’s oldest member and liberal activists have urged him for months to retire while Democrats hold both the White House and the Senate, reported NBC News. The same group of leftists contended that Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg stayed on the bench too long despite her history of health problems and should have stepped down during the Obama administration, when she could have been replaced by an equally radical nominee.
Instead, Ginsburg’s death from cancer at 87 set the stage for former President Donald Trump to appoint her successor, Amy Coney Barrett, which many argue set the court further to the right.
With the forecast for a red wave sweeping the mid-term elections, likely costing Democrats their already razor-thin majority, the hardcore Left has grown increasingly panicked and their push to shove Breyer out the door while they still hold control is the latest sign of desperation.
If Biden holds to the precedent he set in choosing his vice president, Kamala Harris, largely because she was a woman of color, he will likely also hold to his pledge to nominate the first black woman to the Supreme Court.
That, more than actual qualifications or capabilities, is what already seems to be weighing most important to leftists.
.@POTUS had a presidential campaign promise to nominate a Black woman as a Supreme Court Nominee. Now Justice Stephen Breyer is said to be retiring after 28 years on the Supreme Court. Will Biden hold true to his promise?

At some point this year, it’s likely that the first Black woman to be vice president will cast the tie breaking vote in the Senate for the first Black woman to be a Supreme Court Justice.
(Unless there’s some sort of bipartisan vote and welll…) https://t.co/noSeKDVUhO
