The New York Times committed a random act of journalism last week.
Appropriately enough, it happened on the Blue Lady’s opinion pages and not in its newsroom coverage.
With its editorial claiming “Every Day is Jan. 6 Now,” the Left has become so entangled in its own Big Lie that it has officially circled back to reality, but from the wrong direction.
It has convinced itself by listening nonstop to the Brian Stelters in its echo chamber claim that Democrats are survivors of an act of terrorism, by hearing the sex-obsessed AOC compare it to rape, that it is a righteous struggle.
In point of fact, Jan. 6 was a decisive rebuke of tyranny and corruption that succeeded in reminding craven career politicians who the true owners of the US Capitol are: the citizens of the United States.
Nonetheless, it didn’t end that day when the US president called back his followers and asked them to withdraw peacefully. After coming out of their hidey-holes, the losers immediately began to rewrite history.
Every day now, we are locked in an existential battle for the soul of our country against vaccuous, empty-suited officials propping up a Potemkin facade for communist China.
We are all Roseanne Boylands, being beaten down by woke authorities, our compatriots begging for mercy and help from the very thugs wielding the billy clubs.
We are all Brian Sicknicks, being used as pawns in the clash against our own brethren while those culpable for the true crimes are whisked away to a secure, undisclosed location.
We are all Ashli Babbitts, getting shot in the neck without warning while crawling on our bellies to reach the core of political power.
We are all the QAnon Shaman, ascending the Speaker’s Dais and standing on the cusp of total control, only to withdraw voluntarily because doing otherwise would be to become the enemy.
And we are all the 700 or so dissidents brought to false justice, biding our time in the DC Central Detention Facility’s “Patriot Wing,” singing the national anthem nightly, and hoping that, when political winds shift, vindication will come with a full pardon—as it should.
What is clear, however, is that for all its projection, the Left has no room for self-reflection.
It cares not about the partisan brinksmanship that got us to this point, and it is determined to have the last word.
In that sense, every day is also Jan. 5—the fateful day in 2017 that then-President Obama, Joe Biden, Susan Rice, Sally Yates, James Comey, John Brennan and James Clapper secretly met to discuss, seditiously, how they might coordinate efforts to undermine the incoming Trump administration.
And every word uttered by the phoney media machine that abetted those efforts is now another “Steele Dossier“—a national disgrace for which nobody has yet been held to account.
But rest assured, leftists, the J6ers are keeping your beds warm for you in the DC gulag, and your time will come.
