According to a tweet Thursday from Rep. Thomas Massie, R.-Ky., Attorney General Merrick Garland refused to comment when asked about the number of federal agents involved in the Jan. 6 rally.
Massie showed Garland a video of Ray Epps, likely a federal agent, convincing people to enter the United States Capitol the day leading up to the rally.
“I just played this video for AG Merrick Garland. He refused to comment on how many agents or assets of the federal government were present in the crowd on Jan 5th and 6th and how many entered the Capitol,” Massie wrote.

Garland and the DOJ have made no effort to prosecute Epps, despite his obvious involvement in the alleged “domestic terrorism.”
The attorney general responded to the video, saying that “one of the norms of the Justice Department is to not comment on pending investigations, particularly not to comment about … particular individuals.”
But in Garland’s opinion, the rule of law seems to be synonymous with federal entrapment.
When asked to dispel “myths” of federal involvement in the rally, Garland said that he wouldn’t “violate this norm of the rule of law.”
“I’m going to comment on the investigation that’s ongoing,” he added.
Though there were certainly some federal agents present among the crowd on that day, people on the Right have long speculated as to what extent the federal government went to ensnare Trump supporters.
Garland and his cronies in the Justice Department have prosecuted the rally-goers with zeal, holding them for great lengths of time with no trials and in poor living conditions.
All of this despite video footage of the violent domestic terrorists walking peacefully and slowly into the Capitol — evidence which would exonerate anybody else.
Further, Capitol Police were ordered to “stand down” on that day, letting the protesters in.
The witch hunt has now turned to Steve Bannon for his alleged terrorism.
