The Pennsylvania School Boards Association severed its ties with the National School Boards Association over its letter to President Joe Biden, which compared parents concerned with Critical Race Theory to ‘domestic terrorists,’ the Washington Examiner reported.
In an internal memo, the PSBA called the NSBA’s letter calling parents domestic terrorists “the final straw” in the organization’s decision to leave the association.
“The Governing Board of the Pennsylvania School Boards Association has voted unanimously to cancel the PSBA’s longstanding membership in the National School Board’s Association,” the memo reportedly said.
Previously, the PSBA said, it believed that the NSBA offered support and organization, but it has now realized that national counterpart is nothing more than a partisan branch.
“This misguided approach has made our work and that of many school boards more difficult,” the memo said. “Now is not the time for more politics and posturing, it is time for solutions to the many challenges facing education.”
The PSBA’s memo responded to the obviously organized state assault on upset and concerned parents.
“As these acts of malice, violence, and threats against public school officials have increased, the classification of these heinous actions could be the equivalent to a form of domestic terrorism and hate crimes,” the NSBA wrote in its letter on Sept. 29.
The association then asked that federal, state and local law enforcement cooperate in the prosecution of parents upset by Critical Race Theory.
“NSBA respectfully asks that a joint collaboration among federal law enforcement agencies, state and local law enforcement, and with public school officials be undertaken to focus on these threats,” they added.
The NSBA’s letter prompted a quick response from Biden’s administration, which cracked down within a week.
Attorney General Merrick Garland penned a letter comparing concerned parents to “domestic terrorists,” suggesting that the FBI should partner “with local law enforcement,” to “implement the measures” of “prosecuting” these families.
