House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., said on Thursday that the House Ethics Committee should investigate Rep. Marjorie Greene, R-Ga., over an alleged hallway confrontation with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio–Cortez, D-N.Y.

Ocasio–Cortez has accused Greene of chasing her down after a vote in the chamber on Wednesday and berating her for supporting Black Lives Matter and Antifa, both of which Greene considers domestic terrorist groups.
Pelosi called Greene’s confrontation a “verbal assault and real abuse of our colleague,” and urged the House Ethics Committee to look into the matter and potentially discipline Greene.
“This is beneath the dignity of a person serving in the Congress of the United States,” she said. “It’s a cause for trauma and fear among members, especially on the heels of an insurrection on which the minority in the committee yesterday denied ever happened.”
Greene said she chased Ocasio–Cortez down in the hallway because the Democrat congresswoman has refused to publicly debate Greene about her proposed policies.
“She’s the one that’s the coward, and she’s a bully to the American people for wanting to force socialism on them just by ramming bills through, without being willing to debate her policies,” Greene said.
Green also said Pelosi is the one who should be investigated.
“I think the Ethics Committee should look into Nancy Pelosi and why she didn’t have National Guard here on Jan. 6, when she knew ahead of time. How about that?” she said. “President Trump asked for [the National Guard] on Jan. 5.”
