Mark Meadows: There’s A ‘Better Than 50-50 Chance’ Trump Runs in 2024

'I’m feeling great about President Trump’s willingness to serve once again in the Oval Office...'

There is a “better than 50–50 chance” former president Donald Trump runs for office again, according to his former chief of staff, Mark Meadows.

During an interview with conservative radio host Sebastian Gorka, Meadows commented on what Republicans might expect from Trump over the next four years. As of right now, he said, Trump is still interested in the White House.

“I’m feeling great about President Trump’s willingness to serve once again in the Oval Office,” Meadows said.

Trump is “making all the preparations necessary” for another run, Meadows added, and is being “encouraged by his friends and former staffers” to launch another campaign.

The theme of Trump’s 2024 run would be “a vision for America that didn’t stop on Nov. 3, didn’t stop on Jan. 20,” Meadows explained.

“So he’s getting major encouragement, and I would say this: I would put the odds at better than 50–50 that he runs again, and everybody should take note of that,” he said.

Several congressional Republicans and other GOP leaders have already said they’d support Trump if he did decide to run again.

Trump has also hinted at another run, saying he’s not sure whether any other Republican could beat him but adding that he wants to wait to see how the 2022 midterms go.

“We had the greatest economy in history, and then we rebuilt it a second time—and the foundations were so strong that no other country can even compete with us,” the former president said earlier this year. “I think based on the job performance, I’m not sure that anybody should be able to win other than us.”

In the meantime, Trump plans to launch his own social-media platform, according to one of his senior advisers, Jason Miller. He also launched a website,  where supporters can keep track of his political ambitions.
