(Headline USA) John Kerry, President Joe Biden‘s special envoy on climate change, was caught massless recently reading a book — not eating or drinking — while on an American Airlines flight:

Republican Sen. Tom Cotton of Arkansas told Fox News last night: “I guess we can say it’s better that John Kerry finally decided to fly commercial as opposed to jetting around in Gulfstreams all around the world when he’s trying to supposedly solve the climate crisis.”
Kerry and his family own a private jet, according to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) records, even though much of his recent career has been spent harping on the evils of fossil fuels and their contribution to climate change.
The FAA’s registry shows a Gulfstream Aerospace jet is owned by Flying Squirrel LLC, which is Kerry’s wife’s private charter jet company. Kerry has used his wife’s charter jet company several times, according to the New York Post.
But now that Kerry has condescended to fly commercial, it appears he likes to flaunt the rules set out by his boss and the airlines while doing so.
Cotton also said leaders need to “set a good example if they’re going to impose rules on the American people – they should try to follow those rules as well.”
The passenger who snapped the shot of Kerry said, “Being an elite hypocrite is hard work!” — adding that later Kerry put one on and wore it for most of the flight.
