(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) Wisconsin Assembly Speaker Robin Vos has stated to the press that the state’s 2020 presidential election audit could be complete by the end of February, RBS Network reported.
Vos’ statement was given shortly after speaking with former Supreme Court Justice Michael Gableman, who is the special counsel in the investigation.
The Wisconsin investigation has been focused on looking into the funds Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg allegedly gave to five Democrat mayors in 2020. It is speculated that $8.8 million changed hands.
Special Justice Gableman also presented his findings so far to the Wisconsin Assembly Committee on Campaigns and Elections in December 2021. During the hearing, he emphasized that his investigation brought Zuckerburg’s intentions into perfect clarity:
“It’s very clear to me that Mark Zuckerberg’s goal was to defeat Donald Trump and elect Joe Biden.”
“Reasonable minds might wonder whether the millions of dollars each of these mayors received from Zuckerberg may have induced them to do something other than treat all candidates fairly and impartially,” Gableman added. “And whether those mayors used the Zuckerberg money to get out the vote for Joe Biden.”
Vos has said that he needed Gableman’s complete report on Wisconsin’s 2020 election irregularities by the end of February so he could “have legislation on the floor to be able to pass no later than the end of our session, which concludes in March.”
Democrats have made attempts to stop Gableman’s investigation in the courts, but a judge halted those efforts.
