Whoopi Goldberg Suggests God is OK w/ Abortion

'Nobody at this table is not pro-life... '

(Molly Bruns, Headline USA) A host of ABC’s The View argued on the show that God would support killing unborn babies through abortion.

Whoopi Goldberg made her case that abortion is okay in the eyes of God because he has given people free will, the Daily Wire reported.

“And as you know, God doesn’t make mistakes. God made us smart enough to know when it wasn’t going to work for us,” Goldberg said. “That’s the, that’s the beauty of giving us freedom of choice.”

She rambled on, claiming that abortions are part of God’s plan, because He “doesn’t make mistakes.”

“Yes, because I know my relationship. You know, my relationship is always choppy. It’s always choppy with God, always, because I have a lot of questions,” Goldberg said.

“But I also know that God made me smart enough to know that if there are alternatives out there that can work for me, I will investigate them”

“But I also know God said, ‘Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you, I will not make that decision for anybody.’”

Former co-host of The View and pro-life guest Elisabeth Hasselbeck pushed back, arguing that, in the case of an abortion, the decision that is made effects more than one person.

“What about the life in the womb?” Hasselbeck asked. “You know, I will say this, that life has a plan and a purpose designed by God, I don’t believe there are any circumstances where we should give [inaudible].”

Responding, Goldberg insisted that God made people “smart enough” to make decisions for themselves, before claiming that the hosts of the show are pro-life.

“Before we go, let me just point out, no one, no one at this table is not pro-life. Nobody at this table is not pro-life,” she said. “I just want to make sure we all know that. Nobody is happy about going to get an abortion. It’s not fun.”

“That’s not pro-life,” Hasselbeck responded. “It’s a hard, hard decision. Life has a plan and a purpose and there are agencies out there that will help you keep that baby alive.”

Hasselbeck continued, insisting that the women at the table ask themselves “what is really ethical.”

Co-host Joy Behar responded by saying abortion is ethical, because there are many children waiting to be adopted.

Another co-host, Sarah Haines, insisted that pro-lifers do not care about the life of the mother, despite the fact that there are many resources to assist expecting mothers.
