White House Engaged in Ongoing Covert Effort to Make Biden Seem Coherent

'But the media appears to be covering for him... '

(Mark Pellin, Headline USA) President Joe Biden’s handlers have consistently needed to clean up the mess he leaves with a trail of public gaffes and blunders, but the White House comms team has done its best to minimize what appears in media.

In a covert nod to its fake news collaborators, the White House’s official transcripts of Biden’s speeches and remarks have routinely been heavily edited in an attempt to make the stumbler-in-chief appear coherent, according to a deep dive by the Daily Wire’s Joseph Curl.

“Sometimes, the transcript throws in a [sic] when Biden misspeaks. Other times, the stenographer adds a bracketed correction to Biden’s error,” Curl reported. “And every once in a while, the White House just cuts out Biden’s bizarre word salads altogether.”

Some of the more egregiously sic edits from just the last month included covering for Biden botching “… transgester [sic] Americans — transgender Americans serving in the United States military …” (June 10, 2023) and “Last summer, I had the honor of bestowing the Presidential Meda- — Medal of Freemon [sic] — Freedom on distinguished Americans …” (June 16, 2023).

When the mumbling and bumbling become too extreme to fix with a quick [sic], White House comms handlers are reduced to “striking through whatever random word Biden actually said and bracketing what he should have said,” Curl reported.

“Forty million — 40 million Americans already drinking water that thousands of farmers rely on for — for integration [irrigation]. And 40 million count on that river and so do the farmers….” (June 19, 2023).

“Mary Robinson [Barra], the Chairman of the Board of General Motors …” (June 19, 2023).

“The ticket seller, SeatGreek [SeatGeek], is also set to give customers the option of seeing all-in, upfront prices …” (June 15, 2023).

While the White House works overtime to cover Biden’s tracks with edits to officials transcripts, the president’s public stumbles remain beyond their control. That might explain, at least in part, why recent polling showed likely voters expressing grave concern over Biden’s mental decline and his ability to serve a second term.

Nearly 70% of all respondents to a Quinnipiac University poll thought Biden is too old to effectively serve another four-year-term as president. The official total of 66% included 43% of Democrats, 89% of Republicans and 68% of Independents.

“But the media appears to be covering for him,” Fox News’ Outnumbered noted, over a montage of recent Biden gaffes.

“Axios writing this,” the outlet reported. “Biden’s quirky aphorisms are sometimes weaponized by Republicans to portray the 80-year-old president as being in mental decline.”
