White House, Democrats Desperate to Salvage Biden’s Slide

'They're getting poised to blame the electorate for being stupid -- for thinking the economy's bad when it's actually good... '

(Tony Sifert, Headline USA) As gas prices approach a $5-per-gallon average around the country and with inflation topping 8%, the Biden administration is becoming increasingly desperate to turn things around before the 2022 midterms.

But first they have to deal with all the “finger-pointing that’s been erupting internally,” several anonymous White House staffers told Politico.

In public, President Joe Biden claims–against all evidence–that he has engineered “the most robust recovery in modern history.”

“The American people beg to differ,” tweeted RNC Research.

In private, Sleepy Joe is getting just a little “salty” when it comes to his historically low approval rating and an increasing proliferation of comparisons to one-term Democrat President Jimmy Carter.

“It’s something that has bedeviled quite a few previous presidents,” Obama press secretary Robert Gibbs told Politico.

“The responsibility of the president is greater than the tools he has to fix it.”

As tensions mount amid an “exodus of staff from [the White House’s communications shop], Biden’s “inner circle” — First Lady Jill Biden and Biden’s sister, among others — has complained that the gaffe-prone president has been treated “with kid gloves.”

While allegedly wiser heads want to blame Republicans and the ordinary American’s lying eyes, the new plan is to put the least popular president in American history “on the road” and give Americans more chances to chant “Let’s go, Brandon.”

“He can’t just be a mourner-in-chief, he can’t just play defense,” presidential historican Douglas Brinkley told Politico. “He needs to be on offense and convince Americans that, despite the challenges, better days are ahead.”

Journalist Glenn Greenwald appeared on Fox News to roast Democrat messaging.

“The Democrats simply replaced Trump with the same ideology they governed with for eight years under Obama that caused people to run away from them as fast as they could,” Greenwald told Jesse Waters.

“And now . . . they’re getting poised to blame the electorate for being stupid — for thinking the economy’s bad when it’s actually good.”
